About the website: I’ve deleted my previous idea because i wasn’t fully satisfied with the layout.
So, instead of creating a website with columns and text that changes when you hover over an image, I decided to create a more straight-forward website. As you can see on www.siebeleduc.be, I’ve created a simple website with large type and a yellow background as highlight. For now, it’s just a welcome page, but the final website should be up today or tomorrow.
For the design of the website, here are some screenshots of the selection of the typeface. All of these typefaces can be found at Google Fonts.
I’ve chosen the Arimo font by Steve Matteson. It’s an open source alternative to the famous Arial font (on which Matteson also worked in the early 1990’s), used in many Windows applications. It’s made in the same tradition as the Swiss Grotesque’s, but with an improved design for screen readability, less geometric forms and more open ends.
Also, yesterday I did a small photoshoot of my work.
